This activity focuses on the fundamental movement skills of balance, locomotion and coordination.
Position the objects in a formation so that the child may be able to move from one to the other. Place toys at various places on top of the objects in order to encourage movement. Position the child to stand at the furniture, encouraging the child to move; sideways along the edge of the furniture in both directions; inside a corner; around the outside of a corner, and between two pieces of furniture.
