Thank you for your interest in the Appetite to Play online workshop! We want to reach everyone in British Columbia and make it possible for you to take our training from the comfort of your own home!

WHAT WILL I LEARN IN THE APPETITE TO PLAY WORKSHOP?

This instructor led live interactive workshop will enhance knowledge, skills and confidence in creating childcare settings that support physical literacy, healthy eating and healthy child development. Planning tools, self-assessments, recipes, games and activities will be shared. An overview of the resource rich Appetite to Play website will be included.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THE APPETITE TO PLAY WORKSHOP?


This workshop is open to early years providers who are interested in learning more about physical activity and healthy eating for children 0-5 years old, and who want to increase their capacity in this field. The workshops are two (2) hours in length, and count towards professional development credits for early childhood educators. 

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR AN APPETITE TO PLAY ONLINE WORKSHOP?

Register for the online workshop using EventBrite ($25/person – just click on the link for the date you want)
Follow the instructions in the email that is sent to you, and click the link on the day of your workshop to participate.
Whether you live in Burnaby or Burns Lake, we'd love to see you at a virtual workshop! The workshop will have a live instructor that will facilitate and who will answer your questions. You will also get 2 hours of professional development credits.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE VIRTUAL WORKSHOP?

  • Internet Browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • A working Internet connection
  • Possibly a phone or cell phone
